Mangnuo Village Pu’er Tea (2023)

Mangnuo Pu’er Tea is a distinctive raw (sheng) Pu’er originating from the Mangnuo Mountain in Lincang, Yunnan. This tea is prized for its balanced character – offering both floral delicacy and rustic strength, making it a fascinating middle-ground between gentle Yiwu and powerful Bulang styles.

Grown at 1,800-2,000m altitude, the ancient tea trees here produce leaves with a vibrant orchid fragrance in young teas, gradually developing honeyed sweetness and earthy depth with aging. The soup displays a brilliant amber color with a smooth, viscous texture.

What sets Mangnuo apart is its “hidden power” – an initial softness gives way to a lingering qi (energy) and subtle peppery aftertaste. Limited production from 400-year-old wild tea groves makes authentic Mangnuo Pu’er a collector’s treasure.
